Elysian Camerata Concert

March 8, 2019 7:30 pm  |  First Presbyterian Church of Ambler Sanctuary

4 South Ridge Avenue, Ambler, PA, USA

For their final appearance at First Presbyterian Church of Ambler this season on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 PM, Elysian Camerata will be performing two quintets, one of only strings and the other combining strings with piano.

The first of these quintets will be Beethoven’s charming and, at times, comical String Quintet in C major, Op. 29.  The second quintet on the program will be the uber-romantic Dohnanyi Piano Quintet in C minor, Op. 1, written when the composer was only 17! Sandwiched in between the two quintets will be the evocative piece “Morpheus” for viola and piano by Rebecca Clarke.

Elysian Camerata began as the occasional collaboration of few close friends, who all felt a common bond in their love for chamber music. This dynamic ensemble explores the unlimited diversity that exists in the chamber music repertoire.  This year marks the Elysians 14th season as a performing ensemble and their 2nd season at FPCA.
