Too often when we think of stewardship in church, we think too small. Stewardship is not just dollars and cents. This Psalm reminds us that stewardship is about all of life.
“The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.” We belong to the Lord, and so does everything we have. The gifts God gives are entrusted to us. and God wants us to use them wisely.
We have many reasons to be thankful. You will find that a theme in this devotional is that the motivation in scripture for generosity is thanksgiving. May your prayer time and reflection on scripture over the next 21 days be filled with gratitude for all God’s goodness to you!
Prayer:
Lord, speak to me through your Word in these coming weeks. I want to serve you, to grow in faith, and to deepen my trust in you. Help me to use what you have given wisely and for your glory. Amen.
