Who We Are
For over 125 years FPC Ambler has been a church that is rooted in community. Over the years, a succession of fifteen senior pastors and fourteen associate pastors has offered strong leadership, deepening our members faith and commitment to the Ambler community. FPC Ambler is a caring and committed congregation that seeks to know and serve God and to grow in His grace.
In 2005, the church felt called to create a new worship service that would invite her members and the community into creative contemporary worship. Such a service would complement our existing traditional service. The resulting Sunday morning schedule includes a 9:30AM traditional service followed by a contemporary service at 11:00AM called “South Ridge”-named for the church’s location on South Ridge Avenue. The two services, serving one body, help FPC Ambler better meet the needs and worship preferences of the congregation.
In 2011 Reverend Ryan Balsan was called to lead the congregation. Since then there has been a growth in community presence, missions, and outreach. In 2016, the church called Reverend Eric Dorville as Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Mission whose primary focus has been building a small group ministry which is designed to help people grow closer to God and to each other.
A place where lives are changed by Christ and we live out our faith together.
FPC Ambler has a rich history focused on Jesus’ command to make disciples while serving the needs of our community and the world in response to God’s love for us. We are deeply rooted in the heart of Ambler, and want to see our community transformed by the love of God.
“These dreams are being fulfilled because they are inspired by God!”
What We Do
We believe we are called to worship the Living God corporately and individually.
We grow as Disciples in Christ through participation in small groups, personal Bible study, and prayer.
We are a people who are called to share the gospel of Christ with others through talking about our faith, helping others in need, and advocating for the disenfranchised.
