21 Day Stewardship Devotional Day 18

Pastor Ryan Balsan   -

Read Acts 3:1-10
What do I have to give? In this passage, apparently Peter and John didn’t have any silver or gold to spare for the beggar. What they had was better than that!
Scholars tell us that the passage is not does not say that Peter and John had no money, but that they didn’t believe that giving money was enough, or even the most helpful thing to give. Instead of silver and gold, they offered something truly transformative: the power of God to heal.
In church, we often hear about the “stewardship of all of life.” What does this mean? It means that financial stewardship is not the sum-total of generous living. Sometimes there are things that we give that are just as valuable as money: our presence, our time, our prayers, encouragement, and praying for the power of God to be poured out. How can you be a more faithful steward of all of God’s gifts to you?
Prayer
Lord, you are the giver of all good things. Remind me of all the good gifts you have given to me. Lord, I offer you my whole life: time, money, talents, skills, and passions. Use me to share the good news of your salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
