Who is Jesus? A Lenten Journey through John – Day 2

The Church Co   -

Read John 1:19-34
Such conviction. As John is thrown question after question by the religious leaders, he displays strong faith and knows his purpose. He knows his purpose is “to make straight the way of the Lord,” as Isaiah wrote. I want that kind of conviction. I want that kind of clarity and purpose  for my life.
Do you desire clarity? Do you find yourself wondering about your purpose? Do you want the conviction of knowing who you are and whose you are? The conviction John shows is something you can have. It’s not reserved for “holy people”. God desires to share these things with us. May the time you spend in the Word of God allow for Him to speak into your life. You may not have the conviction of John the Baptist yet, but this is a start.
Prayer
Holy and gracious Lord, thank you for your constant love. I pray you would speak clearly to me during this Lenten journey. Help me know the purpose you have for my life and help me submit my will to Yours. Amen.
