Who is Jesus? A Lenten Journey through John – Day 14

The Church Co   -

Read John 8:31-59
Speaking the truth can be hard. Hearing and accepting the truth is a whole other ball game. Jesus could not have spoken it more clearly to the Pharisees, but they were too stubborn and closed-minded to understand him. Jesus has set us free. The Pharisees thought they understood freedom, but they were blind to their own slavery and bondage.
True freedom only comes from Christ. He offers it to us readily, but sometimes we have a hard time accepting this freedom . This is one of the most liberating passages in all of scripture. No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve gone through— you are loved. The depth of God’s love for you is so immense that it allows you to experience the freedom that can only come from knowing Christ. May you know and experience the freedom of Christ today.
Prayer
Lord, help me to know and experience the freedom I have in you. Thank you for your deep love for me. Come into my life and transform me so I may live in freedom for you. Amen.
