Who is Jesus? A Lenten Journey through John – Day 26

Pastor Eric Dorville   -

Read John 17:1-26
Jesus’ prayer is an incredibly intimate moment between Jesus and the Father, right before the events of the crucifixion begin. In this prayer, we can see the concern and love that Jesus has for his Father, the disciples, and for us! As Jesus prays for all believers, he talks about the unity he has with his Father and how he wants this complete unity to be known and experienced by believers so that the world “will know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (v.23)
Jesus wants his Father to be known and to be glorified. As believers, we have the love of Jesus and the example of Jesus’ life that we continue to share so that others may know of his grace and love.
Gracious God, thank you for the love you have shown us through your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me to grow in my faith so that I am able to share the love of Jesus wherever I am. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
