Bach Contatas

Five rarely performed masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach will be presented on Sunday March 2, at 3:00 pm.

The concert is the twenty-first in a series of performances by members of the Northeast Oratorio Society and the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia with the goal of performing all of the Bach Cantatas in churches throughout the Philadelphia area. With this concert the group will have performed 87 of the over 200 Bach Cantatas. Eight singers and an orchestra of 15 will appear in the sanctuary of the church.

Martin Knoblauch, the conductor of the group will present short introductions to each of the works.

Admission is free. A freewill offering will be gratefully accepted at the door.
