Summer Book Club
How to Know a Person: The art of seeing others deeply and being deeply seen, is David Brooks’ most recent book. It is basically a how-to guide to making meaningful connections with those with whom we share this blue planet. The book is written in three parts, so groups will meet three times with an optional fourth meeting to discuss how it’s been trying out the recommendations.

Summer Discipleship Groups
Koinonia Life Group
This group enjoys the connections that come from studying God’s word together on an on-going basis. Led by Don Price, the group will be continuing their study of Hebrews. They meet every other Tuesday in various homes and can accommodate a few more folks. Maybe you?
Women of the Bible
Get to know some of the women of the Bible with Sandy Price. This group will meet approximately every other week throughout the summer and will gather outdoors when weather permits. Register if you are interested and Sandy will reach out to find the day and time that works best for all.
Cost is $6.50 for a pre-loved book.
D3's and D4's
Discipleship trios/quads are small groups of three or four people who meet weekly for 30-90 minutes for a pre-determined length of time, often 6 or 12 months, to look at life through a Gospel lens. To be a disciple is to learn to be a follower of Jesus as we journey through life. This spiritual growth is not solitary—we need each other.

What Are Discipleshipl Groups?
A discipleship group happens when a group of people seek spiritual growth together. These are groups anywhere from 4-12 people who meet regularly. Each discipleship group should regularly experience the following:
RELATIONSHIPS
Social activities outside of the group, meals or snacks together before or after the group
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Biblically based study, practicing spiritual disciplines, and growing deeper in our relationships
PRAYER
Praying for the needs of the group, as well as the needs of others in our community, and the world
SERVICE
James said, “Faith without works is dead.” Small groups strive to serve together or on their own
OUTREACH
Jesus invites us into a relationship with Him and we are to invite others so that they might have a relationship with him, too.
And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
