Lindsay Reifsnyder

Lead Teacher

Lindsay was born and raised in Upper Dublin and is now raising her own family there too. The oldest of 3 children, she always knew she wanted to be a teacher. After high school she ventured north for a few years of college in Vermont, but then transferred and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lehigh University. She and her high school sweetheart were engaged by their senior year of college. Upon graduation Lindsay returned to the area to begin her graduate studies in Elementary Education at Arcadia.

After getting married and finishing her Masters degree Lindsay started her first job in education as an Assistant teacher at the Abington Friends School. Although she loved that community, she moved on to another fantastic opportunity at Ancillae Assumpta Academy and stayed there for over a decade, teaching 4th grade and middle school with an emphasis on math remediation.

For well over a decade Lindsay taught at Ancillae while she and her husband John welcomed their first 3 children. After many years teaching, she had an ache to spend more time with her children at home so she made the hard decision to take a break from full time teaching and become a stay at home mom for 4 years. During that time as a stay at home mom her family became complete with the addition of her fourth child.

Now with the youngest of the bunch being in preschool Lindsay has returned to the classroom as a Pre-K teacher at Seeds of Joy. She enjoys coming to school each day with her daughter in tow and strives every day to treat each of her students the way she wants her own children to be treated. Lindsay is grateful to be a part of the Seeds of Joy community.

When Lindsay isn’t teaching she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and walking her 2 dogs. Her kids keep her busy on the weekends and she can be found cheering them on from the sidelines of many sporting events. Lindsay also proudly serves as the PTO President of her local elementary school where she spends countless hours volunteering and helping with school events.
