Tara Brown

Assistant Teacher

Tara has lived near Ambler her whole life. She grew up in Maple Glen, PA, with her parents and sister. She attended Lafayette College, where she earned a BA in English. Coming from a family of many teachers, Tara knew she also wanted to teach. She attended graduate school at Arcadia University, where she earned her MEd and received her PA teaching certification. For the years following, she worked in area schools as an English teacher and instructional assistant. When her children were little, she decided to become a substitute teacher at their nursery school and the local elementary schools. She loved that the flexibility allowed her to be involved in the PTA and as a room parent in her children’s classes. Now she is thrilled to be an assistant teacher at Seeds of Joy!

Tara lives in Oreland, PA, with her husband, Dan, their two children, and their cat, Phoebe. Her son, Tyler, attends Temple University, and her daughter, Amanda, attends Upper Dublin High School.

Tara loves to walk, read, cook, and take pictures. She enjoys traveling and especially spending time on the beach. Having quality time with family and friends is very important to her.

Tara is so excited that Seeds of Joy Christian Nursery School started at FPCA! She is happy to be a part of such a warm, nurturing environment where she can help children to learn and grow through playing and exploring the world around them.
